The opportunity

This is a unique role to act as the CCW Academic Coordinator for SEE projects and activities, which are targeted at developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and curriculum development in enterprise and employability. The post holder will work with SEE to raise the profile of practice, scholarly debate and research into enterprise and employability pedagogy across CCW, and act as a link between SEE and CCW. The post holder will support  college curriculum development, validation and revalidation to ensure that courses offer high quality employability and enterprise learning opportunities. This will also involve aspects of staff development, dissemination and contribution to the work of SEE in achieving its aims.

The posts will:

  • Bridge disciplines and promote/enhance cross-college collaboration in order to contribute toward a shared university vision for enterprise and employability.
  • Build college and university networks and communities to further develop the SEE agenda in order to create benefits and impact for teaching, curriculum and the student experience.
  • Enhance teaching and learning and subject areas through pedagogic research and project funding, in order to establish UAL as a leader in enterprise and employability within art & design higher education.
  • Share good practice in order to establish cohesive teaching practice and consistency of a curriculum offer to students.
  • Recognise, endorse and support the value of enterprise and employability expertise at CCW and work across UAL with each appointed college posts.
  • Advise, support and endorse CCW submissions to relevant SEE curricular development support funds.
 

About you

We are seeking a new member of staff to join our dynamic team, supporting learning and teaching in enterprise and employability at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW).

An understanding and an appreciation of the potential of enterprise and employability in teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance is essential. You will have a background in arts education or the cultural and creative industries and substantial experience of teaching in further or higher education. 

You will also have a broad understanding of the current and emerging agendas in higher education and debates around learning and teaching in enterprise and employability.  This will include experience of curriculum development and academic working environments in relation to enterprise and employability, teaching and assessment practices at CCW and an understanding of pedagogy and current approaches to learning, teaching and assessment.

You will be ready to collaborate with other academic and senior management, as well as working and liaising accordingly with the SEE college based staff, to deliver a co-ordinated approach to supporting enterprise and employability curriculum support at CCW.
