The opportunity

This is a unique role within the Prototype, Image and Code Technical Team will support the use of programming within a variety of courses across the college. The role will include developing and leading inductions/workshops, supporting students with projects and exhibitions and working with academics to enhance the use and understanding of programming in an art and design context. It will involve collaborating with technicians and academics from around the college in order to deliver the best support and experience for the students and enabling them to achieve their goals and express themselves.

It is essential that you have an understanding of programming applied in a variety of problem domains such as development of interfaces, visualisations, games, installations, networked and mobile software. The successful applicant will work with technicians and academics within the college to ensure students are trained in the innovative and pragmatic use of programming skills to realise projects and prototypes for interactive, audio, visual and kinetic experiences.

Above all we are looking for a creative and motivated individual who can add to a growing and increasingly important team at the college. We would expect high levels of technical competence and a dedication to personal development in technical areas.
