The opportunity

London College of Fashion is seeking to appoint a Creative Director: Graduate Communities. The College has a wide range of postgraduate courses including design, media, communication and business, across three schools: School of Design and Technology, School of Media and Communications and Fashion Business School.

You will be responsible for embedding the vision and creative identity of the College’s postgraduate profile. You will be a key player on the School of Design and Technology’s management team, proactively leading, contributing and developing the ongoing vision of the College.

The role includes seeking and establishing external and internal networks. You will have responsibility to lead special projects and manage student and staff participation. The role includes managing and delivering the student degree show.  As well as investigating live briefs and collaborative projects, the Creative Director will also represent the Schools at College and University levels, ensuring that the work of staff and students is recognised, exposed and well represented in the College and University publicity.

The Creative Director, in discussion with the Dean, will also have a role in teaching. This would normally take the form of key lectures and/ or workshops and may be related to course curricula or be concerned with extra-curricular opportunities.

There will be an extended selection process.

About you

You will be recognised as an authority in your field or specialism and preferably have a relevant post graduate qualification. Your background could include experience within one or more of the following: project management, art direction or curation.

You will have extensive knowledge of the changing face of the fashion industry. It is desirable for you to have experience and knowledge of working within the higher education sector.
