The opportunity

To equip students to become professional managers within industry, we rely on an outstanding academic team who are as imaginative, forward-thinking and visionary, as they are knowledgeable and informed: people with hands-on experience of their industry and a keen eye on the future. You will work within the broad area of business intelligence, which includes quantitative methods and statistics, financial analysis and other applications and technologies for accessing, gathering, analysing, and storing data.

This is your chance to teach methods that fashion businesses can use to solve problems and make better decisions. You will undertake teaching, unit management, and curriculum development in the area of quantitative methods while contributing to research, scholarly activity, and professional practice in this area.

About you

You will have Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. economics, finance, business studies, quantitative methods, accountancy, or similar) with significant competence in quantitative data analysis. Experience of working with data either in a financial/statistical business environment or through experience in quantitative research is essential. Ideally this will be matched by professional experience recognised by membership of a professional body (e.g ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA/ CIPFA/ CMI or equivalent). An excellent communicator, you will have the expertise and insight to adapt your style, approach, content, and learning materials to suit the needs of your students.

A working knowledge of SPSS is also essential for this role. If you have any queries about this role, you may contact the LCF Staffing Team at vacancies@fashion.arts.ac.uk
