Academic Enterprise Financial Reporting Manager

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join UAL's successful Academic Enterprise department in a newly created role as Financial Reporting Manager. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide a comprehensive financial reporting and business partnering service to UAL’s Short Course and Awarding Body activities delivering high quality, relevant and timely financial information. You will use commercial acumen to guide and reinforce decision making in supporting the business meet its ambitious growth targets. You will play a key role in managing the budgeting and forecasting process for your departments as well as lead on the development of appropriate KPIs. You will have line management responsibility and contribute to the development of a wider network of finance business partners across the University. 

About you

You will be a finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) with experience of budgeting, forecasting and internal financial reporting in a large complex organisation, preferably commercial education. You will have experience of business partnering, working with a range of senior budget holders with proven organisational skills. You will have previous managerial experience as well as being a confident communicator, being able to covey complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders. You will have excellent IT skills and be comfortable handling large data sets for analytical purposes. Previous experience of the Agresso finance system would be a distinct advantage.
