The opportunity

Working directly with the Material and Spatial Practices courses in the Design School at Camberwell and Chelsea Colleges of Arts, you will be able to demonstrate experience of traditional workshop making techniques alongside an understanding of digital design and fabrication techniques. You will work alongside academic colleagues, inputting into the design brief and delivering technical teaching to support student learning and project work. Together as a course team you will help develop the long term course ambitions and excellent professional practice.  

About you

We are looking for a pro-active, collaborative individual who can demonstrate an enthusiastic aptitude for design, making and digital technologies.

You will be self-directed, have an analytic approach to project briefs and be able to design and deliver technical teaching and support in line with the project and course outcomes. You will provide structured technical support to groups both online and in person, create informative recorded tutorials and support students with one to one sessions.

You will have a balanced knowledge of physical and digital making as well as knowledge of the potentials of virtual learning environments for online/remote learning. You will be flexible, curious of new ways of working, with the ambition of continual self -development and the aim to inspire those students you support.
