The opportunity

You will be responsible for the cultural programme and management of public spaces for cultural and curatorial use, working with college stakeholders to deliver exhibitions, displays and live performance and critical debate. You will work closely with the Creative Producer: Gallery Exhibitions and Events, in order to broaden the cultural programme beyond the confines of the gallery. The cultural engagement programme will also have a national and international reach, delivered primarily through digital projects and events. This will include being lead producer in Central Saint Martins (CSM) for the online graduate showcase platform, working in collaboration with the Digital and Brand Manager, and UAL colleagues, to deliver on the Graduate Showcase.

This post will require hybrid and flexible working, including some evenings and weekends as required.

About you

With a relevant qualification, ideally in the arts, or arts management (either visual or performance based), you will possess the knowledge, interest and experience of project managing and delivering a range of visual, performance and digital arts-related projects, shows and events. You have knowledge, interest and experience of UK contemporary visual arts, design and performance practice and programming.

You have skill and experience in project management of cultural programmes in an educational and academic context, devising projects and events, highlighting community engagement (both internal and external), external partnerships and strategic collaborations, including with UAL and our constituent colleges.

Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, you will have experience of community arts and socially-engaged practice (in an arts, design and performance context), as well as experience of project managing and delivering a range of performing arts, visual and digital arts-related projects, shows and events with minimum supervision, engaging key audiences, local community or wider public through arts education and socially engaged practice.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and salary, and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

UAL is committed to addressing the under-representation of staff from Black and Minority Ethnic communities, using our student profile as a reference point.

If you have any queries about this role please contact the CSM Resourcing Team, email jobenquiries@csm.arts.ac.uk or telephone 0207 514 7885.
