The opportunity

Following a period of change and growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of HR (Advisory Services) to join the University of the Arts London (UAL) to deliver an excellent HR Advisory Service.

The Head of HR (Advisory Services) will be a key influencer within HR and across UAL. They will lead and manage the HR Consultants providing professional and proactive generalist HR leadership ensuring best practice on people issues is developed across the University. The post holder will be required to have significant employee relations experience and will work under the overall direction of the Associate Director of HR (Business Partnering).

As an expert HR Professional, the post holder will adopt an agile approach in teams and thrive for the best not only in deploying the long-term People Strategy, but also developing relationships and influencing decision making to support long term financial sustainability. 


 

About you

You will bring experience of supporting organisations through significant change, understand the complexities that employee relations work brings and be able to bring teams together during difficult times. You will have significant experience of leading HR advisory and employee relations teams within a complex, unionised organisation, and have the ability to ensure consistency of approach and effective communication strategies are applied across the College and Service areas but also within the wider HR Team.
