The opportunity

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully. 

You will have the opportunity to bring your own research interests into the role in a constantly evolving teaching and learning environment. You will be working with an interdisciplinary and international group of students, and will be delivering a range of online and offline blended learning experiences.

You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.

About you

We are looking for Associate Lecturers to teach on BA (Hons) User Experience Design. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in design and visual communication, either through formal education or self-taught. You will have design experience in academic, creative or industry context and some experience in teaching, delivering workshops, talks and working with learners. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience in areas such as digital product and interface design, information design, data visualisation, or creative coding. Someone with an independent creative practice or an interest in bringing personal research and interests into a teaching context is desirable. Previous teaching experience at higher education or on professional courses is not required but also desirable. A commitment to developing a teaching practice in higher education is essential.
