The opportunity

A vacancy has arisen in the Performance Design & Technologies Programme at Wimbledon College of Arts within the subject area of Production Arts for Screen.

 

Production Arts for Screen is a course that supports two pathways of Set Design for Screen and Technical Arts and Special Effects, offering students the flexibility and choice to specialise in a variety of areas within production design and making.

 

As a lecturer within the Production Arts for Screen team you will be responsible for contributing to and developing the new course’s academic direction and delivery with particular focus upon the pathway area of Set Design for Screen. We are particularly interested in applicants with specialist experience in making skills for screen production/film environments for this lecturer post.  

About you

The ideal candidate will have a background in the area of production arts for screen, a degree and a postgraduate qualification in a related subject area or the equivalent demonstrated through practice. You’ll also have a recognised teaching qualification and experience of teaching at undergraduate level, assessment and student feedback along with excellent communication skills.

 

You’ll have knowledge and experience of production arts for screen disciplines within an industry and research context as well as the ability to collaborate as part of an academic team and contribute to the wider Performance Design & Technologies Programme and UAL communities.
