The opportunity

The University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a motivated and talented Global Engagement Manager to join our dynamic communications team. Reporting to the Head of External Communications, you will play a crucial role in enhancing UAL's reputation and global impact by building networks and establishing connections with key audiences, including international press, academic leaders, businesses, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. Your expertise in developing and implementing outreach strategies will help position UAL and our academic experts in prominent media outlets, conferences, and public forums, elevating their profiles globally and advancing our collective impact. This is a brand new role where the postholder will devise and execute a strategic approach to fostering engagement with our international audiences, working closely with UAL’s leading academics and researchers.  UAL research and knowledge exchange are central to our transformative approach to addressing global challenges and driving positive change and we are looking for a candidate who can help amplify this on the world stage. Your engagement strategies will help ensure the university’s voice on a range of challenging issues becomes part of the international conversation. You will play an instrumental role in developing how we communicate our vision to external audiences in key international territories such as Asia and North and South America.

 

About you

The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering measurable improvements in reach and relationships through communications and/or marketing. An understanding of academic and creative industry audiences and thought leadership and research within these industries is key.
