The opportunity

 

As part of our Planning Management Information team your chief responsibility will be to lead on a range of data reporting and analyses aimed at providing us with key business insights to evidence and inform our planning.   This will include reporting on admissions and enrolment data, analysing sector data and trends and undertaking desk based research and horizon scanning.  To successfully deliver this we are looking for the post holder to develop the range and scope of external information sources we draw upon. You will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that reporting outputs align with our strategic and operational priorities.

About you

You will likely be looking for a new challenge or ambitious to progress your career to the next level.  In addition to experience of planning and management information reporting you will ideally have a detailed understanding of the student lifecycle and the student record in the UK university sector including student HESA and UCAS data.  We are looking for applicants who have demonstrable expertise in using software applications to analyse, interpret and report on complex data and an understanding of the role of data in decision making.  

An excellent communicator you will be able to undertake desk based research, and draft reports and presentations for committees and management teams which meaningful combine data analysis with a narrative.  With a degree or equivalent professional experience you are a diligent self-starter who communicates well and is used to working with senior officers and meticulous about accuracy and quality in your work.
