The opportunity

  • Provide project management support relating to programmes and projects as required under the supervision of Programme and Project Managers.
  • Manage projects of increasing scope and complexity as progress through the apprenticeship is achieved.
  • Attend and complete the project management apprenticeship training programme and to apply the learning to the existing practices in the Programme and Projects Team to further improve the way projects are delivered under the framework.
  • Proactively provide best practice advice, guidance and standards for programme and project management to members of the Programme and Projects Team.
 

About you

To be an IT Project Officer Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast with at least 5 GCSEs (A* – C) including Maths and English and hold a minimum of 120 UCAS points or equivalent.

  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Desirable knowledge of best practice in portfolio, programme, project management
  • Desirable knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
