The opportunity
The Research Finance Coordinator is based in UAL’s Research Management and Administration (RMA) department. The successful candidate will work within the Finance section of the RMA service, providing professional and efficient administrative support for research budgets and financial matters, particularly on externally funded research projects. You will work closely with PI's and project managers as well as colleagues within RMA, central finance and HR to ensure projects are run within budget and in line with UAL and funder regulations.
About you
You will have a strong background in the financial management of UK and EU research funding, including Horizon 2020. Experience of ABW Finance system is highly desirable, as is knowledge of Costing & Pricing. You will have a good working knowledge of the day to day processes involved in financial management of project budgets, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, new suppliers, IR35 and expenses processes. You will be part of a wider team working towards the successful outcome of externally funded projects. Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with a variety of people both internally and externally.
