The opportunity


The Front of House Assistant will provide a high standard of customer service and support within the college’s information centre, as well as contribute to the provision of a fully functional reception service for external visitors, current students and members of academic and support staff.


They will also ensure that the information centre acts effectively as a junction box for the full range of college services and activities, which include, Meet & Greet, Tours, Enquires, Supporting Events, General Administration and Recruitment visits.

 

About you


You will need to be able to work flexibly within a team, be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication, relationship building and organisational skills. With proven front of house reception experience in a large and complex organisation, you will have the confidence to take large group tours of the facilities, the ability to digest and retain large amounts of sometimes quite complex information, and possess a wide range of administrative skills. Knowledge of higher education and application processes would be an advantage as well as experience of dealing with enquires through a CRM system. You will also be flexible as on occasions you will support open evenings and open days which may require you to work on a Saturday.
