The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear course team and actively contribute to the design and development of contemporary womenswear. Working as part of the committed team, you will deliver seminars and workshops on the creative processes. It is a chance to contribute to both research and design approaches within the course and wider College.

Ready to undertake teaching, assessment, unit management, curriculum development and research, you will provide pastoral and academic support to our diverse range of students. You will also build and refresh our links with those in professional practice and related industries for womenswear.

If you have any queries about this role, you may contact the LCF Staffing Team at vacancies@fashion.arts.ac.uk

About you

Qualified to degree or above in fashion design or similar, you will have a strong enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge and experience with our students and supporting them as they build their own future experiences. This will be matched by a flair for inspirational communication skills whilst also providing constructive and critical support. Able to adapt the media to suit your audience, you will have strong planning skills.

It is likely that you will have an understanding of knowledge of digital developments in the fashion industry, web 2 technologies, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) systems, and Adobe Creative Suite. You’ll definitely have a creative approach to problem solving together with a passion for developing your own knowledge.
