The opportunity

The Security Systems Manager will lead on the management of all aspects of security systems and will ensure that systems are administered and maintained to the highest standards across the UAL estate.

This will include the development and implementation of security systems upgrade programs and the management of existing systems. This will require that they have expert industry knowledge of security technology influencing security systems and operations.

The role will also involve the provision of expert advice and guidance to the wider UAL community in matters of security systems.

About you

It is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in working with wide range of security systems
  • Understanding of the challenge in a Higher Education environment
  • Managing the operational administration of security access control systems such as Salto ProAccess Space, Gallagher, ControlSoft Identity AccessParagon, ID Info Smart or similar
  • Experience in managing minor security system projects
  • Experience of providing technical specification for projects
  • Experience of working with Projects start to finish in relation to security systems installation
  • Good understanding of crime prevention through environmental design
  • You are a strong and effective communicator with experience to building strong and effective networks to operate at all levels through the organisation
  • You have excellent management skills and a customer focused approach to service delivery.
