The opportunity

The Disability Service supports the commitment made by the University. To be an inclusive environment by providing high-quality advice and support.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our team. To carry out a wide range of varied tasks and challenging work, including -

  • Responding to queries
  • Managing appointments
  • Financial administration
  • Maintaining and developing record-keeping systems
  • Participating in activities to enhance the Disability Service and its processes

It is an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of Advice work

It’s essential for you to have already worked in a busy, customer focused and inclusive organisation. You will understand and observe client confidentiality. You will have worked for an organisation where there was a need for: robust records, accuracy, and integrity. Desirably, within Further or Higher Education.

You’ll enjoy working as part of a team. You'll:

  • Be able to build rapport with colleagues and students, Communicate clearly and sensitively
  • Be able to use your initiative or creativity to resolve problems.
  • Be excellent at managing your own workload. You be committed to meeting deadlines and observing service agreements.
  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent, with relevant qualifications and/or training in customer care.
  • Be adept at using Microsoft Office, databases, tailored business systems/or customer relationship software.
  • Have experience in financial administration (purchasing and sales).
