The opportunity

This is a part-time but central role dedicated to digital communication and dissemination of the Centre’s research outputs, education projects and industry partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will research, collate and facilitate the creation of news and content from Centre staff, to disseminate internally and externally. Guided by the Centre’s 5-year strategy, you will draft and implement a content delivery plan, publish newsletters and maintain CSF website and social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook).

About you

An excellent communicator and opportunity spotter, you will have a keen eye for detail, and passion for staying ahead of the curve with the latest developments in social media. Interest in our work is substantial, and you will be helping us identify the most strategic opportunities for communications.

You will be an excellent planner, maintaining a busy and varied workload with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Above all, you will bring a combination of relevant experience in a similarly complex setting, a flair for what makes a good story, as well as knowledge of requirements specific to working in a higher education institution, including accessibility.

What we offer

We are UAL

Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) is a University of the Arts Research, Knowledge Exchange and Education Centre based at London College of Fashion (LCF). We engage in participatory design and transformation design practices to act on the climate, societal and personal health and equity crisis in and through fashion. We seek to develop agency and capabilities in those involved in fashion to critically respond, adapt and transform fashion into restorative practices and cultures.

University of the Arts London is a vibrant world centre for innovation, drawing together six Colleges with international reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts.

London College of Fashion is extremely proud to be a global leader in fashion education, research and consultancy. Much of its success is down to its dedicated employees, and you will play an important role in shaping future creative professionals, and impact on the future of so many creative industries.

London College of Fashion, UAL is undertaking an unprecedented programme of change.  In 2023 we will be consolidating our existing six sites into a new purpose built campus as part of a new education and cultural district on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  Ahead of this move, we welcome applications from candidates who live in and around East London, as well as from those keen to join us on this exciting and unique opportunity in our College’s history.
