The opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us and work in one of the foremost centres of fashion education in the world. Your challenge will be to undertake first-class teaching, management, curriculum development and delivery, and research in fashion business product and innovation. To excel, you will have and will need to maintain strong links with related industries and professional bodies, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the subject.

As Programme Director: Leadership and Management, you will take responsibility for the academic leadership and overall management of courses within your programme (including our newly
launched LCF MBA, our Executive MBA and our Graduate Diploma in Fashion Management, BSc (Hons) Fashion Management and our Integrated MSc in Strategic Fashion Management) including the maintenance and enhancement of standards and responsibility for the design, development and delivery of the curriculum.

Through your professional networks, you will promote the continuous development of the courses, reflecting critically on the broader context of practice and educational provision nationally and internationally. In addition you will have responsibility for the day to day management of the programme including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students as well as resource management.

About you

Regarded as a leading authority in your field, you will bring a deep understanding of the wide ranging disciplines of leadership and management. Additionally, we are looking for knowledge of industry practice in a range of company contexts. You will be a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual, who is committed to opportunities to share and exchange knowledge within a dynamic and creative environment and community of learning, practice and research.

With a postgraduate degree and appropriate qualifications, you will have the necessary background within higher education to provide effective management and compelling leadership.  Creative and highly motivated, you will have strong communication skills and confidence in working with diverse audiences.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
