The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and proficient administrator with significant experience in working in a higher education environment to play a key role in supporting the development of LCF’s growing Research activities. You will have a track record of managing complex processes, the ability to communicate with a wide range of people / stakeholders and proven line management experience. You will provide a highly professional, customer focused, quality service supporting the Associate Dean Research, Team Manager Research and Special Projects Manager on a wide range of projects, events and research activities to support the department and wider research community.

 

About you

You will have substantial experience of working in a senior administrative/coordination role preferably within a research environment, be a team player and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. Key to this role will be your ability to build excellent positive relationships with administrative and academic colleagues, to plan and prioritise a busy schedule of work in order to achieve objectives, a keen eye for detail and plenty of initiative and creativity. Your track record includes event organisation, line management experience, finance skills including the analysing, collating and production of statistical information and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to the continuous improvement of processes. You will be used to working collaboratively and a skilled problem solver. A degree or relevant experience is essential to this role and a strong interest in research within an arts environment would be desired.
