The opportunity

The successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative tasks at halls to assist and support the Residence Manager in order to support the delivery of student services within the halls of residence. This will include, amongst other things; running the reception, telephony, assisting with the finance functionality of the halls where necessary, including but not limited to: placing orders, processing invoices & record keeping; monitor the halls email accounts and to respond to student queries, develop an in depth knowledge of the student accommodation software programme (Kinetics or any other software programme) in order to undertake specific tasks and to be able to assist the Residence Manager. This will include student data entry and the allocation of rooms using the systems database, the checking in and out of students on the system and the loading of student charges on their accounts. 

About you

 You are an experienced administrator,  and have worked in student residential accommodation. You are familiar with  CCTV software management systems including reviewing footage and printing still images; you are familiar with keycard security access systems including re-programming fobs/cards and interrogating access reports. You will preferably have prior knowledge of accommodation management software, including allocations, configuration and finance interface (knowledge of UAL’s KX system and accommodation provider’s TCAS system are desirable).

Ideally you will have experience of dealing financial / procurement procedures, the ability to provide routine oral and written information clearly . You can demonstrate pastoral care management and identify safeguarding support in dealing with student welfare and health & safety within a hall of residence or similar environment 

You have  experience of tenancy management and all associated activities including breaches, disciplinary actions, inventory checks and damage charge management. You can demonstrate experience in dealing with customer service issues at first point of contact.
