The opportunity

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high level PA support to the Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Senior Executive Team.  In addition, you will also be expected to provide administrative support to the wider Senior Management Team; as and when required.  It is an important role in the facilitation of effective communication links between the three Colleges and the wider University community so it goes without saying that you will need excellent communication skills yourself.

Excellent prioritising skills are key to the role as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will be a highly effective communicator, appropriately balancing tact and diplomacy with the need for quick turnarounds. You will be a problem solver with the confidence and perception of when to use your initiative and also have a 'can do' attitude. You will have excellent IT skills across MS Office, which you can use to produce correspondence and reports aimed at a senior level audience.

You will need to take the initiative and advise on priorities, identify levels of urgency, anticipate events and provide advanced warning of upcoming activities. You will turn your hand to a wide range of duties; from liaising with external agencies, dealing with enquiries, minuting senior management meetings, setting up a Skype meeting, to supporting college wide projects.  You will also be expected to contribute to the effectiveness of the Executive Support PA team; therefore needing to be a good team player.

About you

Educated to A level or equivalent, you are a confident and experienced PA who is able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, juggling a multitude of tasks. Proactive with excellent organisational skills, you will also bring strong problem-solving abilities.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

If you have any queries about this role that are not covered in the documentation available, please contact Christine Crouch, Staffing Administrator, email jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk or on 020 7514 7802.
