The opportunity

This is a chance to join a growing business in the emerging discipline of online education. You will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies and activities to promote online short courses across all 6 UAL colleges.

You will work in the online short course team, which is small, dynamic and growing fast, and you will also collaborate with marketing colleagues across the 6 college short course teams, as well as in other areas of the university. You will have great freedom to develop marketing plans and activities, working within the online short course marketing strategy and brand and messaging guidelines set centrally by the university.

As this is the only marketing role in the online short course team, the role will be very varied, and will cover campaign planning, developing content and creative assets, managing various aspects of the digital marketing mix (content, email, paid, social, analytics, etc.), and tracking ROI and impact. The role offers the chance to control the whole process, from devising and implementing campaigns, to measuring impact, and then reallocating resources and updating tactics according to this analysis.

About you

You will be passionate about online learning, and UAL’s creative mission in art, fashion, design and communication. You will also be passionate about digital marketing and will have at least two years’ experience in a hands-on digital marketing role. In this time, you will have devised campaigns and tactics that had a measurable impact.

You will have experience of managing and optimising paid advertising using systems such as Adwords and Facebook Ads, and you will understand SEO best practices. You will have experience using content management systems, and ideally have at least a basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS.

In addition, it is very important that you can write well, with a distinct voice that can engage and entertain. If you have represented a brand on social media this will stand you in good stead.

Finally, you must be very well organised and efficient, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.
