The opportunity

We currently have vacancies for Associate Lecturers with research interests and/or professional experience in data visualisation or related disciplines to teach on our Data Visualisation course at postgraduate level. We would be keen to hear from applicants with industry-focused or academic experience and/or relevant software knowledge and skills. Previous teaching experience at HE or on professional courses is not essential, but that, or a commitment to teaching and learning in higher education, would be desirable.

Your main responsibility as an Associate Lecturer will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of units or part units of study, including supervision. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students in successfully completing their studies.

You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.

About you

Applicants will have a strong commitment to the advancement of their field of data visualisation or a closely related area – such as graphic design or information design – and an ability to work as part of a team.

Interested applicants must complete the online application form and also submit a short CV and covering letter outlining their interests and experience to date, as well as a PDF or a link to an online portfolio. In your covering letter please help us to understand how you could contribute to our programme. Please read our course descriptions before applying at: www.arts.ac.uk/lcc/courses/postgraduate/ma-data-visualisation/.

If you have any specific queries about this role please contact either the course leader for MA Data Visualisation, Henrietta Ross (h.ross@lcc.arts.ac.uk) or the Programme Director for Graphic Design Communication, David Sims (d.sims@lcc.arts.ac.uk)

For general enquires, please contact Lesley Wilkins - lcc.jobs@lcc.arts.ac.uk
