The opportunity
Join our team at UAL Short Courses Ltd and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
As part of our dedicated Customer Experience and Sales Team, you'll operate from various college sites across the UAL network, representing all 6 UAL college brands. You'll contribute to the administration of over 16,500 short course bookings annually across 1800+ courses, playing a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Your primary focus will be on handling short course enquiries and ensuring seamless customer service through multiple channels, including telephone, email, IM Chat and in-person interactions. Beyond providing information and guidance, you'll be instrumental in driving sales by converting enquiries into bookings and facilitating course cancellations to transfers to support our financial objectives while enhancing the overall student experience.
This role demands flexibility, as you'll occasionally work on Saturdays and weekday evenings until 19:00.
About you
We're seeking a candidate with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences across various communication channels.
Your profile includes:
- Experience in frontline customer service, preferably within an international, educational, or arts-focused environment.
- An interest in or background in art and design education or the broader creative industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, without direct supervision.
- Proficiency in managing sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Experience in catering to the needs of international clientele, promoting inclusivity, and accessibility in service delivery.
- Knowledge of financial processes and data protection.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive environment for both students and staff.

UAL Short Courses (UALSC) is part of the University’s department of Academic Enterprise which leads the University of the Arts London’s commercial educational operations. There are 100 staff and 1,500 hourly paid staff in Academic Enterprise, which is integral to the University’s long-term development. Its mission is to increase the amount of income generated by the University from non-core teaching and research activities. It includes several successful existing business operations including UAL Short Courses Ltd, AE International (English Language preparation and Study Abroad) as well as UALAT.
