The opportunity

Exciting opportunity to play a key role in the University of the Arts London Academic Enterprise department and further advance their project management and business analysis capability across systems, processes and business improvement.

Academic Enterprise aims to increase the University's non-core teaching and research income. It includes successful operations like London Artscom Ltd, UAL Awarding Body, Language Centre, and enterprise, innovation and research-based activities. Academic Enterprise is a successful, growing, department. Successful delivery of programmes and projects is critical in supporting this growth.

As an Internal Business Consultant, you will manage the scoping, analysis, design and implementation of a number of projects including existing systems enhancements, process improvement initiatives and other business critical projects across Academic Enterprise. This will include managing systems testing, implementation, staff training, and the on-going embedding of change within the organisation. You will work as part of a project environment gathering, documenting, validating, and understanding project requirements and business processes. You will work closely with the Programme Manager to manage planning, organising, testing, and training activities, with a focus on departmental systems and resources.

About you

The successful candidate will have a multi-disciplinary business analysis and project management background, with a proven track record of delivering and leading systems focussed projects. Potentially with experience as an external business consultant or in an internal consulting function, you will have an appetite for working at a university driven by creativity and diversity.

The ability to engage with diverse groups of stakeholders at all levels to deliver agreed outcomes will be key, as will an aptitude for understanding complex business systems and process issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.  This role will suit an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, sponsored by senior management in a high-profile department.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Senior Resourcing Adviser via email at RKEEstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
