The opportunity

CSM is a pioneering leader in art and design education. The Digital Projects role provides professional ICT administrative expertise, guidance, advice and support across the technical resources and professional activities at Central Saint Martins. 

The role will involve working with a range of technical, academic and professional staff contributing to the overall aims and objectives of Technical Operations and AV Learning Technologies to oversee, administer, develop and support the core I.T hardware underpinning creative digital practice at CSM: e.g. managing refresh and updates of computing hardware and creative software for Technical teaching resources and Academic Specialists working in video, 3d, mixed reality, creative computing, and digital media learning and practice.  

You will provide assistance with the configuration, testing, support, maintenance and deployment of software within student-facing digital seminar rooms, labs, render farm, networked storage, and workshops and provide on-going software asset management (SAM), support and troubleshooting as needed.  

Your role will encompass communicating with stakeholders, working with a range of technical and professional staff and acting as a lead point of contact to develop high quality ITC hardware access and designs. You will not only bring key skills with you but will have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience across a wide range of technical workshops in an evolving area.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, adaptable, dynamic, self-motivated person who can also contribute to the technological development of the college. Ideally a creative individual with a passion for both creative and administrative technologies. You should have a qualification within the relevant area (ie IT and/or Art and Design) and have industry experience in an area related to ICT technologies. 

You will have experience of developing, administrating, and maintaining IT specialist provision and projects, supporting learning & creative practice in an educational setting and/or the creative industries.   

If there are any aspects of the role that you may require training in, then this will be provided. CSM is committed to the personal development of its technical staff.
