The opportunity

The Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design (Culture and Identity) is responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the Fashion Programme at Central Saint Martins. The post-holder will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions. The role has a particular focus on a transnational and/or global approach that seeks to contextualise inquiry and practice within broad frameworks that extend across the borders of national states, with particular focus on race and equality, diversity and inclusion in the field of fashion. 

About you

Educated to degree level in fashion design, or an associated subject, you will be able to evidence an inquiring, innovative and reflective approach to teaching gained within a higher education environment. 

You will be required to stay abreast of research, teaching and knowledge exchange in relation to fashion through a culture and identity lens and ensure that these developments are reflected in the curriculum and contributes to the advancement of fashion design in a global context.
