The opportunity

This role is designed to support screenprinting, printmaking and traditional print techniques within one of the most established technical departments at the college. Working in the Print and Design team, the role will support courses across the College, including Foundation, BA Graphic Design, BA Illustration and MA Graphics. The day-to-day duties will include maintaining printmaking facilities such as screenprinting tables, etching presses, drying racks and other equipment found across the workshops.

As a support technician, the successful applicant will be expected to support specialist technical staff in preparing workshops and taught activities, and to support students in a one to one scenario. The successful applicant may also be given the opportunity to lead the occasional workshop for personal development.

About you

You will have gained experience from working with printmaking machinery and will have worked extensively in screenprinting and one other printmaking discipline. The successful applicant will work alongside technicians and academics within the college to ensure students are trained in the safe, innovative and professional use of the College’s technical resources.

Above all we are looking for a motivated, creative individual who can add to a growing and increasingly important team at the college. We would expect high levels of technical competence and a dedication to personal development.

If you have any general queries, you may contact Lesley Wilkins, Staffing Administrator, lcc.jobs@lcc.arts.ac.uk or telephone: 020 7514 7985
