The opportunity

As part of our Planning Management Information Team and the UAL APP Evaluation Network your chief responsibility will to support the provision of reports and management information relating to the University’s performance against its Access & Participation Plan (APP) and related targets and commitments. In this capacity you will provide analytical support and guidance to a number of evaluation projects as well as supporting more general reporting in relation to the APP, such as the development of internal reporting of progress against APP targets and milestones.

You will acquire and apply an advanced knowledge of the metrics used to assess and monitor institutional performance against our own APP and benchmark our position against other similar institutions and the sector as a whole, and to assess the contribution of specific projects and activities.

We will look to you to provide support to and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that data and reporting outputs align with our monitoring and evaluation needs, and support colleagues to interpret and use data.

About you

You will likely be looking for a new challenge, or be ambitious to progress your career to the next level.  In addition to your experience in performance and management information reporting you will ideally have a detailed understanding of the metrics used to monitor performance in the UK university sector and a strong interest in equality, diversity, inclusion and widening access.

We are looking for applicants who have a strong track record in the production of performance reporting that combines data analysis with a narrative account that supports decision making.  You will be able to demonstrate expertise in using software applications to analyse, interpret and report on complex data.

With a degree or equivalent professional experience you are a diligent self-starter who communicates well and is used to working with senior officers and meticulous about accuracy and quality in your work.

In return, we offer a competitive employment package including a salary that reflects working in London, generous annual leave, an attractive pension scheme, and a commitment to your continuing personal and career development in an environment that encourages creativity, diversity and excellence.

Please submit your application as soon as possible, as should a sufficient number of applications be received this vacancy may close earlier than the stated closing date.
