The opportunity

MA Graphic Media Design is a world-leading course in critical graphic design practices and research. With a broad appeal to a diverse cohort of students, an impressive profile of alumni and a culture of research and experimentation in design education, we seek an Acting Course Leader to cover a 12 month vacancy.

As Acting Course Leader, MA Graphic Media Design you will be responsible for the delivery and development of the course including the curriculum, collaborations, quality processes, budgeting and resourcing. The successful candidate will also oversee the course through the expansion of the curriculum at a time of social, technological and ecological change.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the course in relationship with the course team and the programme director, developing projects and partnerships, research and knowledge exchange activities, monitoring performance data and representing the course and subject at programme, college and university level.  

About you

We are seeking a candidate with experience in graphic design and education. You will have a good track record of critical practice in graphic design and graphic design education and engagement with current design research. 

You will have experience of strategic and people management, curriculum planning, resourcing as well as teaching and practice at postgraduate level or beyond.
