The Educational Developer (Curriculum) will contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning at UAL by co-ordinating initiatives designed to support curriculum design and delivery at course level. The role will involve designing and delivering face-to-face teaching and learning sessions and developing online materials that are responsive to curriculum needs identified by the Teaching and Learning Exchange and College stakeholders.

The Teaching and Learning Exchange supports teaching and learning enhancement at the University by working across three areas: teaching and research development, digital learning, and careers and employability. With a key role in delivering the University's new Academic Strategy, the Exchange has created an exciting series of new vacancies that focus on our specialism of teaching in the arts and prioritise student attainment and student experience. Together these roles will offer enhanced support to Colleges in relation to teaching excellence and student experience priorities.

Specialist knowledge and qualifications

Postgraduate degree (preferably in the arts, humanities, educational or social sciences).

Postgraduate qualification in Higher Education Teaching and Learning/Academic Practice

Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (desirable)

Specialist knowledge of inclusive approaches to higher education curriculum design, teaching and assessment

Specialist knowledge of creative arts education (desirable)

Relevant Experience

Teaching and assessing in higher education

Designing blended learning curricula

Supporting academic development of staff
