The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a market research professional to join a dynamic and strategic team. With direction from the Head of Prospective Student Engagement, you will undertake research and insight analysis to inform the development of the University’s strategies for student marketing and recruitment across its UK, EU and international markets. You will support our market diversification objectives by ensuring that all university student marketing and recruitment initiatives are informed by market intelligence and analysis.

You will identify market opportunities and trends through the analysis and interpretation of internal and external market intelligence and performance data, alongside the management and implementation of primary research studies.

The purpose of the role is to enable to University to fully understand how it is performing against its own student recruitment targets and more widely understand its position within the sector and how we maintain or gain market share.

About you

You will be educated to degree level or equivilent, with at least two solid years’ experience working in a market research or analytical role, preferably in-house.

You will have proven experience of managing market research and customer insights projects that have informed strategic decision making and/or resulted in actionable recommendations. 

An understanding of market research practices and theories is essential. You will be able to use this understanding and your experience to analyse, interpret and report complex and multiple datasets, and communcate your findings meaningfully. 

The role also demands exceptional interpersonal and communciation skills, which you will evidence through your ability to build effective internal working relationships across all levels of seniority and functions.

You will have a proven ability to work independently without direct supervision, and will be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity to resolve problems.
