The opportunity
Want to help shape the next generation of research in social design and design for sustainability? Are you strong in articulating themes from across diverse projects, while maintaining a critical eye on the underlying theories and methods? UAL is setting up a new Social Design Institute buiding on its research and knowledge exchange in social design and design for sustainability. As part of this we are looking for a post-doc research fellow, working half time for up to six months initially. This would suit someone who has finished or is close to finishing their PhD in the social sciences, design or humanities, with some familiarity with social design and design for sustainability. Internal candidates are warmly encouraged to apply. Working closely with the director, Professor Lucy Kimbell, this role will require working collaboratively with staff and PhD students across UAL in order to shape the university’s narrative and position. Key tasks will be mapping across the diverse activity in the university and developing funding bids.
For further information or a discussion about the role contact Lucy Kimbell (l.kimbell@arts.ac.uk)
