You will assist in the development and delivery of high quality and customer-focused library services which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.
Key components of the role include being responsible for academic support for specified courses/programmes of study, and participating in the promotion of resources, collections and services through effective academic liaison and information dissemination.
You will participate in course committees/programme boards and establish constructive working relationships with staff responsible for curriculum development and the delivery of courses. You will assist in the provision of enquiry services and develop learning materials which encourage the use of resources and services. You will also have functional responsibility in the area of collections/special collections.
The role is full time. It includes the requirement to work until 8pm alternate weeks, currently Wednesday and until 6.00pm on a Monday during term time and until 6.15pm a minimum of once a week in the vacation. Candidates must be able to commit to this to be considered.

With a degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent at Graduate or Postgraduate level, you will have demonstrable experience of working in library or customer service environment.
