The opportunity

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.

You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leaders.

About you

We seek additional Associate Lecturers to contribute to delivering on a range of subject units. We are particularly interested in practitioners with knowledge of:

MA DM:

-        We welcome applications from practitioners with experience of digital and emerging technology, applications and systems, including, analytics, big data and data visualisation – both in terms of supporting student work, developing teaching materials, teaching delivery and maintaining an up to date course profile.

-        Experience of a wide range of prototyping techniques and an ability to facilitate workshops for students in this area.

-        Entrepreneurialism and small start-up business design strategies including finance and law.

-        Theories and dialectics of design and culture and how this shapes the societies we live in and our understanding of them.

MA DAD :

-        We welcome applications from practicing contemporary Art Directors and creative individuals with a strong presence in their particular fields of practice.

-        Creatives with practical experience on set with various Art Direction projects.

-        Individuals working in emerging technology, and platform media.

-        Experience in the field of advertising.

-        Experience in the field of Art and Design history and theory.

Applicants should have current design practice experience and relevant teaching experience preferably at MA level.
