The opportunity

Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a unit or part of a unit. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.  
 
You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.

1.5 hours of onsite teaching, 1.5 hours of online teaching and 1 hour of pre-recorded content for the first semester 2020/21 (blended learning model) 

We are seeking a 3D animation expert with an interest to teach maya on the BA Virtual Reality course. The role requires teaching and coursework assessment. We are looking for someone with solid experience in the field of 3D animation content creation and with an interest in virtual reality. There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the development of curriculum. 

Your main responsibility will be to collaborate with the BA VR course leader on the preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of a Unit in the course. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.   

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching ideally in Higher Education. You will take a dynamic and innovative approach to supporting excellent teaching, pedagogy and inclusivity. You will have a good knowledge of 3d design processes and principles, including but not limited to modelling, rigging, animation, lighting/rendering and real-time workflows. Proficiency with Maya, Unity and Unreal is highly desirable. You will have an awareness of the global social, cultural, environmental, political and economic issues that are transforming immersive and interactive moving image practices.
