Outreach Digital Assistant

The opportunity

This is a role within the Outreach team at UAL working across our colleges. Not everyone has equal opportunity to enter higher education. We want to change this through UAL Insights – our projects and programmes which support students as they progress to the next stage of their creative education. We design innovative learning programmes for young people as they progress through their educational journey. This role will assist in the delivery of high quality digital support for the Outreach team to support the promotion, learning and teaching for young people accessing digital content and programmes within the UAL Insights programme to support their understanding of art, design and communication at university level.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a digital media environment particularly within social media and be able to communicate effectively to a range of audiences orally, in writing and/or using visual media.

You will assist the Digital Curator with the day-to-day operations of content production for the UAL Insights digital channels and assets including social media, video, website promotion.

You will participate in the capturing of content for all Insights programmes and plan scheduled content on relevant software (e.g. Later).

You will assist with student led projects on social media to promote Insights on the digital channels, e.g. Insights Inspo, Instagram Takeovers and Spotlights on specific courses.

You will have responsibility for administration related to the Insights digital channels and assets, e.g. archive of media used on social media platforms, associated admin related to student-led projects.
