The opportunity

As 0.4 Senior Lecturer inTextile Design for MA Textile Design, you will assume responsibility for the academic leadership, coordination and management of the course in discussion with the Course Leader across practice and theory. This course is part of the Textile Design Programme at Chelsea College of Arts. The post-holder will work collaboratively with the Course Leader and Associate Lecturer team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

The role requires that you preside over the day to day management of the course including all areas of learning, teaching and assessment of students as well as resource allocation whilst observing and implementing the policies and procedures of the University and the College. The successful applicant will play a key role in the development of the integration of theory and practice within the holistic units and will have expertise in sustainable and socially responsible textile design.


 

About you

A postgraduate qualification appropriate to the subject area of Textile Design, experience of administration, assessment processes and procedures are essential for the role.  You will maintain strong links with design practitioners from a wide range of professions, subjects and disciplines and build collaborative links with a range of institutions and employers.
