The opportunity
In this key role, you will provide academic and strategic leadership for the design, delivery and management for Cultural & Historical Studies, defining and articulating the vision for Cultural & Historical Studies within the College to support the broader mission of the College and enhance its profile as a centre of excellence for research.
In addition to undertaking teaching, you will work collaboratively with Programme Directors, course leaders and other academic and administrative staff to ensure Cultural & Historical Studies units are embedded across the curriculum. You will also actively participate within the University and College committee structures to ensure measurements and standards are in place to enhance the quality of teaching and course delivery, in turn enhancing the international reputation of LCF.
You will also assume responsibility for ensuring that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic development and pastoral care, and course information is current, accessible and consistent.
About you
With a relevant postgraduate qualification, the successful candidate will have knowledge of the range of tools and resources that are available to deliver eLearning and their strengths and weaknesses. You will understand the pedagogical principles that underpin Cultural & Historical Studies, in particular in context to business environments and implications for Cultural & Historical Studies in delivery to industry based courses. Experience of designing and delivering teaching and research methodologies to diverse audiences is also essential.
