The opportunity

Based in the Short Courses office at Chelsea College of Arts, you will support marketing and sales activity for the success of the CCW unit. The purpose of the role is to assist the team in the planning and delivery of the CCW Short courses marketing strategy, designed to enable maintaining and increasing sales (course bookings) from new and returning customers. The role is vital for the maintenance and upkeep of the CCW Short Course web pages and social platforms with an aim to increase sales and generate income through converting Short Course enquiries to full bookings. 

You will support the Marketing Team in creating and scheduling engaging content for the CCW short course social media presence and will be responsible for keeping the day-to-day activity of the social channels active and engaging across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator you will ensure that the social is aligned to the rest of the communication strategy focusing on driving sales for key courses and seasons.

This role will also support in helping students requiring short course information and advice via telephone, email, IM Chat and in person. You will actively convert enquiries to bookings and support the wider student experience.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for working as a part of your team for effective social communication, supporting course starts and continually facilitating an excellent customer experience. You will also engage with colleagues in other Academic Enterprise short course teams and across the college.

About you

You will be interested in marketing and creative industries and have a passion for best in class customer service. As a natural story teller – you will work with the team to schedule social content to promote the short courses across Chelsea, Camberwell and Wimbledon colleges. You are proactive and a team player demonstrated by actively supporting the team with customer enquiries ensuring they are handled in a timely manner in order to facilitate course bookings.

With excellent oral and written communication skills, you will be able to liaise effectively with your team and colleagues, and also to build and maintain positive relationships while sharing best practice with colleagues in other short course teams and throughout UAL. In addition, you should have an interest in further education in Art & Design subjects and more broadly the Creative Industries.
