The LCC Senior Contracts and Payments Officer role is part of the London College of Communications (LCC) Finance Team which provides financial information and support to stakeholders across the College.
The purpose of the role is to manage the administration of contracts for the provision of specialist or additional teaching hours, ensuring that the contract terms, account coding and payment details are correct and that contracts are signed and recorded on a timely basis.
The role includes development of processes to improve the efficiency of the contracting process, and to deliver reporting and analysis to LCC stakeholders as required.
Day to day activities will be varied with a key focus on teamwork and proactive and continuous improvement of contracting practices in line with University and regulatory guidelines.
We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in process improvement in a data driven environment (finance/payroll/IT) combined with financial monitoring and reporting skills and the appropriate level of knowledge of the associated regulatory framework (e.g. IR35).
The successful candidate will need to keep up to date with new finance and payroll developments and be able to proactively identify and resolve complex issues as they arise.
This is a crucial role within a very busy department, therefore the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure. Previous higher education experience will be an advantage.
