In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and customer-focused library services, which support the academic activities of the University and its constituent Colleges.

You will be responsible for supporting specified courses/programmes of study, planning and delivering information literacy sessions and participating in course committees. You will establish constructive working relationships with course teams, and promote access to resources, collections and services through effective academic liaison and information dissemination.

You will assist in the provision of physical and on-line enquiry services and develop learning materials which encourage the use of resources and services.

You will also represent the Library at departmental meetings.

The role is full time and includes the requirement to work until 20:00pm usually once a week, during term time, and until 18.15pm during the vacation on a rota basis. Candidates must be able to commit to these timings to be considered.

Library and Student Support Services is a University-wide Directorate delivering high quality services to support all students studying at UAL so that they can fulfil their potential and get the best from their University experience. The Directorate consists of Student Services, Library Services, Academic Support and the International Student Experience (including Language Development).

London College of Fashion, UAL, is undertaking an unprecedented programme of change. In 2023 we will be consolidating our existing six sites into a new purpose-built campus as part of a new education and cultural district on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. With a degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent at Graduate or Postgraduate level, you will have demonstrable experience of working in library or customer service environment.
