The opportunity

Please note: previous applicants need not apply.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work collaboratively with academic colleagues and Business & Innovation teams across UAL to support development of funded innovation and knowledge exchange projects linked to key funders’ priorities.

The role will specifically support the development and management of innovation-focused activities (including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Innovate UK bids, and contract research) by working pro-actively to develop new external partnerships through discussions with academic staff and professional networking with businesses, universities and funders.

About you

Educated to degree level, you ideally have a track record in developing and managing collaborative multi-partner innovation and business growth projects between academia and industry, as well as experience of accessing and managing a range of funding to support higher education research, innovation and knowledge exchange projects. Experience of working with the creative and cultural industries and/or current knowledge or experience of the technology innovation landscape for the creative industries, in particular, would be advantageous.

You can communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, and understand how to construct an effective business case for investment.  You also demonstrate a proven ability to plan, co-ordinate and review work, effort, and resources, ensuring maximum efficiency and delivery of goals.

In return, UAL offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Senior Resourcing Adviser on 020 7514 2965.
