The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious academic researcher/practitioner to lead the Cultural and Historical Studies curriculum within the School of Design Technology at London College of Fashion. In this new, key role, you will be responsible for the academic leadership and management of Cultural and Historical Studies teaching across the school, including maintenance and enhancement of standards and responsibility for its design, development, and delivery. As Course Leader, you will join the Cultural and Historical Studies Department, a dynamic collective of researchers and practitioners dedicated to the study of fashion as a global, political and cultural practice. This is an exciting time to join the department as we expand our programme in the context of our new home at East Bank in Stratford. 

About you

You will be a leading authority through theory or practice in the field of fashion studies. You have the enthusiasm, expertise and communication skills to inspire and fully engage our diverse cohort of students. You will have experience of leading and/or directing a course in higher education (or comparable context), an ability to participate in curriculum development and assessment, have a sound understanding of current developments in the field of fashion studies and contribute to the research profile of the Cultural and Historical Studies Department.
