The opportunity

These body-based movement sessions will provide the students on Acting and Performance course a unique exploration in how to better use their body for Solo Performance making.

They will challenge the student to look deeply into what it is to exist in their body and how they can use it to communicate their desired performance outcome.

The successful candidate will give the students an experience of a new movement practice, but also give them time to create their own work in relation to the new learning they experience. This will then feed into their Unit Project which is to make a Solo Performance for the Unit named: Performing Histories.

About you

The successful candidate will:

- Have skills in Movement based workshops for Actors and Performers
- Be able to lead students in a line of personal enquiry regarding their body and movement heritage
- Possess excellent communication skills and ability to encourage self discovery in students journeys
- Knowledges of socio-political contexts which frame and challenge performance-making

Please note, you do not need to apply for this role if you are already an Hourly Paid Lecturer within Performance at CCW.
