The opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic maker whose skills sit broadly across 3D fabrication. This role is based at Wimbledon College of Arts which delivers courses focused around the production of theatre and performance arts. The role would be to provide technical teaching within the 3D Lab where students can prototype their ideas in metal, wood and plastics using various 3D and digital techniques and processes. First-hand experience in these areas is a must. We are looking for someone with a firm grasp on contemporary making which includes a solid grounding in established skills and one foot into emerging practices as well. We are looking for a candidate with fabrication skills and a passion for problem solving.  The role is to assist students in learning the skills necessary to bring their ideas into the physical world.

About you

Students are at the forefront of this job and some experience in teaching is desirable. We are looking for a candidate to assist with course aligned teaching for small groups as well as independent 1-1 teaching.  A basic familiarity with online teaching tools is also very desirable skill.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
