The opportunity

Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) is a Research Centre of the University of the Arts London (UAL) based at London College of Fashion (LCF). Our work explores fashion’s relational ecological, social, economic and cultural elements to contribute to sustainability in and through its artistic, business and educational practices.

Ten years ago, CSF’s starting point was human and ecological resilience as a lens for design in fashion’s artistic and business practices. We have grown to be a diverse community of world leading researchers, designers, educators and communicators with an extensive network that crosses disciplines, generations, cultures and locations, enabling us to:

Create internationally acclaimed research
Set agendas in government, business, and public arenas
Pioneer world relevant curriculum

Reporting to the Centre Coordinator, you will work on the communication and marketing of the Centre’s research outputs, education projects and industry partnerships. Guided by the Centre’s Communications Plan, you will research, collate and facilitate the creation of news content from Centre staff, then disseminate and track it via our website and social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). In addition, you will assist in communicating the Centre’s offer to LCF students, and in responding to national and international press enquiries, supported by the college’s Internal and External Relations (IER) team.

This role focuses on growing the Centre’s profile, within the framework of our strategic priorities. The role is for two days a week, and flexible working is possible.
