The opportunity
University IT Services provides the IT network, infrastructure and support for UAL. This includes computers, mobile devices, and applications to support the work of staff and students. The purpose of the role is:
To provide technical support to the Web Services team in developing, configuring, maintaining and supporting UAL’s digital platforms, including virtual learning environments (VLE) and content managements systems (CMS)
To support a customer-centric and business-focused approach to service management, improving student experience through optimum service availability and through continual service improvement
To provide cover support for project activities and operations by working with team members and undertaking training and self-learning, developing a sufficient level of knowledge and skill across all functional areas
About you
You will have:
- Proven experience in providing excellent customer service and technical support for website and web application delivery
- Demonstrable record of successful experience with IT support activities, call logging systems and customer service
- Demonstrable record of successful experience in the support and maintenance of web applications, content management systems and/or virtual learning environments (desirable)
- Knowledge of web development and delivery technologies and activities (desirable)
You will be an effective oral and written communicator; able to plan and prioritize workloads to achieve objectives on time; and, work collaboratively across different professional groups.
